SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
Developing our skills and craft as artists are fundamental to our success and our own sense of gratification.  In this one, we talk about the effectiveness of practice, going back to the basics and learning to enjoy the process of it all.

POINT #1: “PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE”
Like anything, if you want to get good at it, you have to practice.  There are loads of creative ways you can come up with as well as research to improve “soft” and “hard” skills.  The only thing you need after that is the follow through.

POINT #2: “MAKING IT MATTER”
– If it’s so easy as just practicing, then why don’t we just do it?  Often it’s because we’re too focused on how far we have to go, or simply where we are not.  What we need is a flip in perception.  How can we find the reward in what we’re doing right now?  How can we enjoy the mundane practices?  By letting go of expectations we can discover the joy of mastery.

POINT #3: “IT ALL COMES TOGETHER”
–
When time and effort meet, amazing things happen.  By trusting what you’re doing in practice, you will find extraordinary expression when you put your work out there.  There’s a little science and a little something mysterious all going on.
