SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
Artists have a lot of ups and downs and challenges in their lives and careers.  Sometimes these challenges really rock us to our core and we question our decisions and why we’re doing what we’re doing.  How do we overcome this?  What can we learn from these situations?  All this and more…..

POINT #1: “WISDOM IN THE MESS”
– Very often, in situations where we’re really confused or feeling defeated, is often the catalyst we need to discover greater meaning and a deeper connection to our art and our work.  Sometimes we need to take a few steps back to get a running start.

POINT #2: “LETTING GO OR GIVING UP”
– There is an important distinction to be made between these two concepts.  Giving up is a decision made out of fear, letting go is an empowered conscious decision.  Learning how you have the power to make choices makes it easier to carve a way forward when you’re feeling discouraged.

POINT #3: “INCREMENTS”
– Great things take time to build.  Learning patience and to make small steps forward add up to massive impact in the long run.  You won’t always see it right away, but by focusing on what’s right in front of us and creating achievable goals we can avoid a lot of the dismay and frustration that can come with building a career.
