SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
Not So Serious conversations are always interesting, and this one is no different.  We talk about how the artists journey is often just that — a journey.  It’s a long one, with many unexpected twists and turns.  On the quest there are many pressures no matter what your level of success.  What matters is having a strong sense of yourself in the world, being informed, and making conscious decisions.

POINT #1: “YOU’RE IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL”
-If you have chosen the life of an artist, you have chosen a calling that may or may not pay off large dividends for some time.  When you’re committed to your artistry with that understanding you can enjoy the many twists and turns and find that great success might not come until you’re a seasoned veteran.

POINT #2: “WHETHER YOU’RE BIG OR NOT, BETTER KNOW THYSELF”
-No matter what your success level in what you’re doing, if you have no sense of yourself and what you value, you will be blown around and buckle under the pressures around you.  There are times to act and there are times to step back — learn to recognize what’s called for within yourself.

POINT #3: “THE INDUSTRY SERVES SOMETHING IMPORTANT”
-As much as we love to dump on the industry as artists, we neglect that the industry actually serves a very important role that we could all learn from — the audience.  The industry is committed one hundred percent to the audience which is something we can all benefit from keeping in mind.
