SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
Maybe you’re thinking about getting into an artistic field — we get into what kinds of challenges and gifts are down that road, as well as how embracing our artistic side can have huge benefits, whether it’s our career field or not.

POINT #1:”THE ARTIST’S LIFE HAS MANY MYTHS”
-Artists are often seen as people who have no responsibility, are lazy and are simply “born” with talent.  Being a real artist requires having a talent for your talent and a deep inner call to express something from within.  There’s a lot more thought, energy, and discipline that goes into an artistic life.

POINT #2: “THERE’S BETTER WAYS TO MAKE LOTS OF MONEY”
-Sure, many artists in different fields become very wealthy and famous, but it’s not most and not usually right away.  Either you make a commitment for the long haul or chose something where you KNOW the next paycheque is coming.

POINT #3: “BEING AN ARTIST IS BEING ENGAGED TO THE PURSUIT OF TRUTH”
-We can be artists in our lives no matter what we do when we engage and pay attention to our lives.  Break out of the routines and examine who we are and what we are.  You may pursue that through an artistic endeavor professionally or for fun.  No matter what, there are many things to be gained from such a journey.
