SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
We go deep down the rabbit hole with this one.  Today we put the past and the future in our sights and explore how our thoughts and feelings around them hinder us as artists.  Creativity and presence go hand in hand when it comes to getting truthful in our work.

POINT #1: “PAST AND FUTURE ARE GUILT AND FEAR”
-Our past brings up feelings of regret, loss, and guilt; our thoughts about the future are riddled with anxieties, expectations, and fears.  Ultimately you cannot live in either of them, and your thoughts about the past and future are thoughts you are having about them now.  They pollute our ability to focus and be present to the tasks at hand.

POINT #2: “CREATIVITY AND PRESENCE ARE SIBLINGS”
-To truly engage with the creative process requires an openness and willingness to remaining present to what’s happening as it’s happening.  When we’re consumed with thoughts about the past and the future, we’re bringing in a bunch of excess baggage that doesn’t serve what we’re doing and closes us off to possibility.

POINT #3: “HOW IS THIS PERFECT RIGHT NOW?”
-Ask yourself this question and answer it to bring your attention back to the present moment, reconnect to your joy and creative spark, and banish those polluting thoughts.
